A standoff between Indian and Chinese armies was resolved on Wednesday near the Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh after delegation-level talks, Army sources said.
According to the sources, patrolling Indian troops were stopped by Chinese soldiers. This then led to a scuffle between the two sides.
However, the matter was de-escalated later and disengaged fully after delegation-level talks. The incident occurred due to deferring perceptions about the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China, an Army source said.
This comes a month ahead of PM Modi’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
