With 22,272 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 251 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,01,69,118 while the death toll rose to 1,47,343, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 97,40,108 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,81,667 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.78%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 16.71 crore samples have been tested up to December 25 of which 8,53,527 samples were tested yesterday.
