With 62,212 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 837 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s tally stands at 74,32,681, while the death toll rose to 1,12,998, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 65,24,596 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 7,95,087 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 87.78%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 9.32 crore samples have been tested up to October 16 of which 9,99,090 samples were tested yesterday.
