With 24,712 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 312 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,01,23,778 while the death toll rose to 1,46,756, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 96,93,173 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,83,849 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.75%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 16.53 crore samples have been tested up to December 23 of which 10,39,645 samples were tested yesterday.
