With 16,311 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 161 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,04,66,595 while the death toll rose to 1,51,160, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,00,92,909 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,22,526 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.43%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 18.17 crore samples have been tested up to January 10 of which 6,59,209 samples were tested yesterday.
