With 15,968 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 202 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,04,95,147 while the death toll rose to 1,51,529, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,01,29,111 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,14,507 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.51%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 18.34 crore samples have been tested up to January 12 of which 8,36,227 samples were tested yesterday.
