With 15,144 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 181 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,05,57,985 while the death toll rose to 1,52,274, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 1,01,96,885 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,08,826 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.58%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 18.65 crore samples have been tested up to January 16 of which 7,79,377 samples were tested yesterday.
