India has reported 69,878 fresh cases of coronavirus and 945 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 29,75,702, while the death toll rose to 55,794, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 22,22,578 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,97,330 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 74.30%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Saturday said a total of 3,44,91,073 samples have been tested up to August 21 of which 10,23,836 samples were tested yesterday.
