With 20,035 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 256 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,02,86,709 while the death toll rose to 1,48,994, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 98,83,461 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,54,254 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.08%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.31 crore samples have been tested up to December 31 of which 10,62,420 samples were tested yesterday.
