India has reported 61,267 new cases of coronavirus and 884 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 66,85,083, while the death toll rose to 1,03,569, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 56,62,491 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,19,023 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 84.70%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 8.10 crore samples have been tested up to October 5 of which 10,89,403 samples were tested yesterday.
