With 20,021 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 279 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,02,07,871 while the death toll rose to 1,47,901, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 97,82,669 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,77,301 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.83%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 16.88 crore samples have been tested up to December 27 of which 7,15,397 samples were tested yesterday.
