With 18,732 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 279 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,01,87,850 while the death toll rose to 1,47,622, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 97,61,538 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,78,690 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.82%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 16.81 crore samples have been tested up to December 26 of which 9,43,368 samples were tested yesterday.
