With 16,432 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 252 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,02,24,303 while the death toll rose to 1,48,153, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 98,07,569 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,68,581 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 95.92%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 16.98 crore samples have been tested up to December 28 of which 9,83,695 samples were tested yesterday.
