India and Belgium settled for 2-2 draw in the 14th World Cup Hockey group C match. In another encounter of group C South Africa played 1-1 draw with Canada.
Belgium lead by 1-0 at half time. This goal was scored by Alexander Hendrix on a penalty corner in the 8th minutes. India’s equaliser came 39th minute when Harmanpreet Singh converted a Penalty Stroke easily.
After eight minutes India took the lead 2-1 when Simranjit Singh deflected the ball from Kothajit Singh.
Simon Gougnard scored equaliser for Belgium.
Both the teams have 4 points each but India top the group on better goal difference.
In last match India will play Canada and Belgium will face South Africa.
