India confirms third coronavirus death, 64-year-old dies in Maharashtra

India on Tuesday reported the third death due to coronavirus as a 64-year-old man passed away in Maharashtra.

The man had a travel history from Dubai and was under treatment at the Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope today called for an urgent meeting as the number of coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in the state.

Earlier, a 76-year-old man from Karnataka who returned from Saudi Arabia and a 68-year-old woman in Delhi had passed away. Both died due to coronavirus.

The number of coronavirus cases in the country rose to 126 on Tuesday after fresh cases were reported from many states.
