Host India have fantastic start in the 14th World Cup Hockey tournament at Bhuvneshwar on Wednesday. India set a side the challenge of Republic of South Africa 5-0 in its opening encounter in group C.
Mandeep Singh opened the scoring in 11th minute when he smashed a rebound on the first penalty corner.
India scored two goals each in first and third quarter and fifth goal came in the fourth quarter.
India will play it’s second group match on December 02, 2018 against Belgium. In another match of group C Belgium drew with Canada.
