The Indian Women’s cricket team on Thursday reached the finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as the semifinal against England was called off due to heavy rain at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
ICC in a tweet said, “MATCH ABANDONED For the first time in their history, India have qualified for the Women’s #T20WorldCup final.”
India will face the winner of second semifinal between Australia and South Africa. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will take place on March 8.
