Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Chaudhary on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at an event of the party’s membership drive at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP general secretary Ram Lal and Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari were also present at the occasion.
Sapna Chaudhary had made headlines in March after Raj Babbar tweeted a picture of the singer along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and welcomed her to the Congress.
However, Chaudhary denied reports of joining the party and also claimed that she had not signed any membership form of the Congress party.
Chaudhary got the limelight after participating in the reality show Big Boss.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the BJP’s nationwide membership drive from his parliamentary constituency Varanasi with the aim of connecting people from all walks of life with the BJP family.
