An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter jet suffered a technical glitch on Thursday after one of its engines was hit by a bird.
The incident happened soon after the aircraft took off from the Ambala air base on a training sortie when it got hit by a bird. The pilot jettisoned fuel tanks of the aircraft and managed to land it back safely.
Small practice bombs jettisoned by the jet has also been recovered., sources said.
Pilots are trained to jettison fuel tanks over open areas, sources added.
So far, no casualties were reported in the incident.
