Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Wednesday tested positive for COVID-19.
Sawant in a tweet said, “I wish to inform all that I have been detected COVID19 positive. I am asymptomatic and hence have opted for home isolation. I shall continue to discharge my duties working from home. Those who have come in my close contact are advised to take the necessary precautions.”
According to the Ministry of Health, Goa currently has 3,962 active cases of COVID-19, whereas 194 people have died from the virus in the state and 13,850 people have recovered.
