The Goa government, led by newly appointed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will face a floor test in the state Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
Goa Governor Mridula Sinha has called a special session of the Assembly at 11.30 am.
Sawant on Tuesday said that he is 100 per cent confident of winning the floor test.
“We are going for the floor test tomorrow. It will happen well. I am 100 per cent confident (of the floor test),” he had said.
Sawant was sworn in as chief minister around 2 am on Tuesday, hours after his predecessor and veteran BJP leader Manohar Parrikar was cremated with full state honours at Miramar beach in Panaji.
Besides chief minister, 11-member Cabinet was also sworn in, including his two deputies– Sudhin Dhavalikarof the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and Vijay Sardesai of the Goa Forward Party (GFP).
