Global COVID-19 cases surpass 6 million

The total number of global coronavirus cases has topped the 6 million mark, with nearly 3,70,000 deaths.

The US is the worst affected country in the world with more than 1.7 million confirmed cases and over 100,000 deaths.

Meanwhile, in terms of cases, Brazil comes in second place with more than 490,000 infections

This was followed by Russia, the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, India, Turkey, Peru and Iran.

Regarding deaths, the UK continues in the second position after the US with over 38,000 COVID-19 fatalities.

The virus which was first originated from China’s Wuhan has spread to at least 210 countries.
