Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to chair a customary pre-budget consultation meeting with the experts of agriculture and agro-processing industry on Thursday.
Before the Thursday meeting with experts of agriculture, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will begin her pre-budget consultations with different stakeholder groups on Wednesday, this meeting will be held virtually.
The Ministry of Finance tweeted, “Finance Minister Smt.@nsitharaman will start her Pre-Budget consultations with different stakeholder Groups from tomorrow, 15th Dec 2021 in New Delhi in Connection with the forthcoming general budget 2022-23. The meetings will be held virtually.”
This budget will be the fourth general budget to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. She will present the Union Budget on 1 February 2022.
However, Less than two months are left for the presentation of the budget for the year 2022-23. It is believed that the FM will hold a pre-budget meeting with representatives of the agriculture sector, agro-processing industry, industry representatives, health, education sector experts, and economists, leaders of trade unions, MSMEs and startups.
