A massive fire broke out at a furniture market on Friday morning near Kalindi Kunj Metro station in Delhi.
Fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident, Delhi Fire Services officials said.
The blaze has affected Metro train services on the Magenta Line. According to the officials, no train would run between Shaheen Bagh and Botanical Garden stations till the fire is brought under control.
“Train movement has been stopped temporarily between Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj due to smoke and fire from a fire underneath the section. We regret the inconvenience,” the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a tweet.
“Short loops are being run between Janakpuri West and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh. No service between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden temporarily,” DMRC added.
