Fire breaks out at ONGC plant in Surat, no casualties reported

A fire broke out in early hours of Thursday at an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plant in Surat.

According to the official information, the fire has been brought under control and there is no casualty or injury to any person reported.

“A fire was observed in the Hazira Gas processing plant in the morning today. Fire has been brought under control. There is no casualty or injury to any person,” ONGC said in a tweet.

“Fire at Hazira Plant has been completely extinguished. Efforts are being made to resume normal operations at the earliest,” ONGC added.

As per the information, three consecutive blasts took place at the ONGC Hazira plant at around 3:00 AM, followed by a massive fire.
