Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday said entry and exit gates at all stations have been opened. Normal services have resumed at all the metro stations.
“Entry & exit gates at all stations have been opened. Normal services have resumed in all stations,” DMRC tweeted.
Several Metro stations such as Jaffrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur, Gokulpuri were closed from more than two days after violence erupted in areas of Northeast Delhi over the amended citizenship law.
Clashes broke out on Monday as pro and anti-CAA groups threw stones at each other, torched houses and attacked shops.
The death toll due to violence rose to 13 on Wednesday. Several people are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals. Around 150 people have been injured in this violence, many of which are said to be critical.
Meanwhile, all private and government schools in Northeast Delhi will remain closed today and CBSE has postponed the board examination to be held in North East Delhi region.
