Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Manjit Singh GK on Tuesday handed over the charge of DSGMC to his confidante and senior vice-president of the committee Harmeet Singh Kalka and announced that he has not resigned from the post.
GK is also the president of Delhi unit of SAD.
According to the sources, GK was upset over the way SAD leadership dealt with Bargari sacrilege issue and on the issue of resignation of senior party leaders.
Manjit GK himself faced the ire of the Sikhs in August, when he was attacked outside the Yuba City Gurdwara in California. Also, members of the Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast (USA) protested against him outside a city gurdwara in connection with the Bargari shootout.
