Dambulla: A thrilling Tri-Nation A Series clash between India A and Sri Lanka A ended in dramatic fashion on Monday, with Sri Lanka A prevailing in a Super Over before an emotional post-match confrontation involving India’s teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi grabbed attention.
The match had all the ingredients of a classic contest—momentum swings, controversy, confusion and a tense Super Over finish. Batting first, India A posted 265 in 49.2 overs, thanks largely to a fighting knock from Suryansh Shedge. The youngster entered the tournament on the back of a record-breaking IPL season, but has struggled to produce a major score in Sri Lanka, managing 14, 44 and 21 in his last three innings.
