US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on Monday evening visited the iconic Taj Mahal.
The US President and first lady were received by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Earlier, PM Modi and President Trump jointly addressed the mega ‘Namaste Trump’ event at the Motera cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.
While speaking at Motera Stadium, Trump said, “It is a profound honour to be in Motera in this beautiful stadium. Thank you for your spectacular welcome. Melania and my family will remember this forever.”
President Trump landed in India on Monday noon and kicked off his first India visit from Gujarat.
Trump and Modi visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. The two leaders staged a massive roadshow through Ahmedabad.
