The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday appeared to be heading back to power in Delhi with the party leading on 57 seats and the BJP on 13 as counting of votes is under way in all Assembly constituencies in Delhi.
Official Trends showed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The results are as per expectation of the exit polls which predicted a clear majority for the Aam Aadmi Party.
As per the initial trends, AAP supremo and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is leading in the New Delhi seat.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is facing a tough fight from Ravinder Singh Negi of the BJP for the Patparganj seat.
AAP’s Delhi unit convener Gopal Rai is leading in Badarpur constituency.
BJP’s Tajinder Singh Bagga is trailing on Hari Nagar seat, while AAP’s Raghav Chadha is leading from Rajinder Nagar constituency.
The results for the 70-seat assembly are expected to be declared by today evening.
