Delhi court sends freelance journalist Rajeev Sharma, two others to judicial custody in espionage case

A Delhi court on Sunday sent freelance journalist Rajeev Sharma and two of his associate’s Chinese woman Qing Shi and Nepalese citizen Sher Sing to judicial custody. Sharma and his associates were arrested in an espionage case under the official secrets Act.

They were produced before the judge on Sunday night.

On September 14, Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested Sharma for allegations of passing sensitive information about India’s border strategy, army’s deployment and procurement and foreign policy to Chinese intelligence agencies.
