Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked with chilli powder outside his office in the secretariat on Tuesday.
The attacker, identified as Anil Kumar has been taken into custody, officials said.
According to the reports, Kejriwal escaped unharmed.
Kejriwal was leaving for lunch when the attack took place outside his chamber on the third floor.
Calling it a dangerous attack, Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party tweeted, “Dangerous attack on Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal. Serious security lapses from Delhi Police. Even the Chief Minister is not safe in Delhi.”
During the press conference AAP spokesperson Raghav Chadha said, “The attackers are being provided full impunity by the Delhi Police, the police has no intention to take firm action against the attack on the CM.”
