At least 17 people were killed and several others injured on Tuesday morning after a major fire broke out in Hotel Arpit Palace in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area.
Fire broke out in Hotel at around 4 am, when people were mostly asleep.
Over 20 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
At least 25 people have been rescued till now out of the 5-storey hotel and rescue operations are underway.
According to the reports, the fire has been doused and bodies are being taken out now.
The exact reason behind the incident is not known yet.
