India has reported 48,513 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking the nation’s total COVID-19 tally to 15,31,669. The country also reported 768 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry website.
The total number of COVID19 active cases are 5,09,447 while 9,88,029 people have been cured/discharged.
A total of 34,193 coronavirus patients have lost their lives.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients further improved to 64.24 per cent, according to Health Ministry data.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Wednesday said a total of 1,77,43,740 samples have been tested up to July 28 of which 4,08,855 samples were tested yesterday.
