With 19,079 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 224 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,03,05,788 while the death toll rose to 1,49,218, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 99,06,387 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,50,183 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.12%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.39 crore samples have been tested up to January 1 of which 8,29,964 samples were tested yesterday.
