With 16,375 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 201 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 1,03,56,844 while the death toll rose to 1,49,850, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 99,75,958 have been cured/discharged. There are 2,31,036 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 96.32%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 17.65 crore samples have been tested up to January 4 of which 8,96,236 samples were tested yesterday.
