Senior Congress leader AK Antony on Monday hoisted Congress flag at the party headquarters to mark its 136th Foundation Day.
Other leaders present at the occasion included Mallikarjun Kharge, Ghulab Nabi Azad, Rajeev Shukla, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
“On the occasion of the 136th #CongressFoundationDay, senior Congress leaders and workers hoist the Tiranga and pay tribute to our party’s 135 year-old legacy of upholding the interest of each Indian,” Congress party tweeted.
“The foundation of our Party is built on truth & justice for all, we can never deter from that path,” it said.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is currently on a foreign visit greeted the party workers on the occasion.
“The Congress has been committed from the beginning to raise the voice of the nation. Today, on the foundation day of the Congress, we reiterate our pledge of truth and equality. Jai Hind!” Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
