Minutes after Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Maharashtra chief minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him and his deputy Ajit Pawar.
Modi said he was confident that they will work diligently for the bright future of Maharashtra.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated Fadnavis and Pawar on swearing in as CM and Deputy CM of Maharashtra.
Shah said that he is confident that this government will be continuously committed to the development and welfare of Maharashtra and will set new standards of progress in the state.
