New Delhi, May 20, 2026: In a remarkable twist, a satirical political outfit called the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has taken the internet by storm, drawing massive attention from India’s youth within just days of its launch.
The mastermind behind this viral sensation is Abhijeet Dipke, a 30-year-old political communication strategist currently pursuing his Master’s in Public Relations at Boston University. Dipke, who previously volunteered with the Aam Aadmi Party’s social media team and played a key role in meme-based campaigning during the 2020 Delhi elections, launched CJP as a sharp, humorous response to a remark made by Chief Justice Surya Kant.
During a court hearing, the CJI reportedly compared certain unemployed youth entering professions with fake degrees to “cockroaches.” Instead of getting offended, Dipke flipped the narrative and created a party that proudly embraces the label as the “Voice of the Lazy & Unemployed.”
CJP’s Bold Manifesto Includes:
No post-retirement Rajya Sabha seats for Chief Justices
50% reservation for women
Strict action against vote deletion and media houses owned by businessmen
20-year ban on defecting MLAs/MPs
Eligibility to join? Being unemployed (by choice or force), chronically online, and good at ranting with sense.
While still satirical and not a registered political party yet, CJP has suddenly made politics cool and relevant for Gen Z. Many see it as a creative outlet for youth frustration over jobs, system failures, and accountability.
Whether this remains an online meme or evolves into something bigger remains to be seen — but for now, the cockroaches are clearly marching ahead.
