Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today met health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan in New Delhi requesting him to increase medical seats for open category. He said that in order to compensate the loss for the open category due to reservation for SHBC and economically weaker sections, the number of seats should be increased.
Fadnavis gave Health Minister Dr Harsha Vardhan a request letter from the state government which asks him to increase 813 seats of PG Medical branches and 1740 of medical degree. Harsha Vardhan gave a positive nod and ensured Fadnavis that positive action will be initiated.
