Five security personnel and a civilian, were injured in a blast set off by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Wednesday, an official said.
According to the police Naxals blew up the truck with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
The incident took place at Bijapur Ghati, located about 7 km from Bijapur town.
All injured were taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
According to the reports, a search operation was underway in the region.
Bijaupur was among the 18 constituencies that voted in the first phase of the assembly polls in Chhattisgarh on Monday.
