Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, along with his wife Kaushalya Sai, performed prayers and worship at the world-famous and historic Bhoramdev Temple, in Kabirdham district of the state,  praying for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the state.

At the Bhoramdev Temple, he worshipped Lord Bholenath (Shiva) as per Vedic rituals, performed circumambulation of the temple, and also participated in the five-day grand “Chatur Shuddhi Sahasra Kalash Maha Anushthan.” He took part in the religious ceremonies conducted amidst Vedic chanting and prayed for the progress of the state, social harmony, and public welfare.

Chief Minister Sai said that Bhoramdev is a glorious symbol of Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage, Sanatan traditions, and spiritual consciousness. Such grand religious ceremonies not only pass on our ancient Vedic traditions to the new generation but also strengthen the spirit of positive energy, harmony, and public welfare in society.

Organized under the aegis of Shri Mahadivya Desham Foundation, this five-day grand ceremony began on July 25 with the spirit of peace, prosperity, and spiritual welfare of Kabirdham and the entire Chhattisgarh. According to the foundation’s head, Rajeev Rakul Swami (Kerala), this ceremony is based on the ancient Vedic tradition of purification of consecrated temples and re-circulation of divine energy, being conducted as per the methods described in the Lord Parashuram Srotam and Agam Shastras.

The Chief Minister said that the auspicious month of Shravan, dedicated to Lord Shiva’s worship, is beginning on July 30. For the past two years, he has had the good fortune of welcoming Kanwar pilgrims arriving at Bhoramdev Temple by showering flowers on them along with Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma. He said that the Kanwar Yatra is also a living symbol of Indian culture. This year too, he will personally visit Bhoramdev Temple to shower flowers on the devotees as a mark of welcome.

On this occasion, Pandariya MLA Bhavna Bohra, other public representatives, administrative officials, Vedic scholars, and a large number of devotees and supporters were present.
