The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), in collaboration with Meta has launched `Vyaapar Sakhi’, a national initiative designed to empower women entrepreneurs through digital adoption and training.
This landmark programme aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National Mission for Women Empowerment, which envisions Indian women as digitally skilled, self-reliant, and active contributors to the country’s economic growth.
Vyaapar Sakhi translates Modi’s vision into action at the grassroots level — promoting digital inclusion, skill development, and entrepreneurship for women across the country.
Speaking at the launch, Praveen Khandelwal, Member of Parliament and Secretary General, CAIT said, “This initiative is not just about digital training — it is about creating a nationwide network of digitally empowered women traders who can lead India’s economic transformation.”
This programme aims to localize digitization efforts through region-specific training modules delivered in multiple Indian languages.
It will be executed through a structured, impact-driven approach, in-person workshops to build digital and business acumen.
Through this programme, participants will learn to create their own ‘digital dukaan’ using the WhatsApp Business App, real-world examples of successful women-led ventures, practical training on WhatsApp Catalogs, Quick Replies, and Click-to-WhatsApp Ads.
Successful women entrepreneurs will engage with participants to share their journeys, offering mentorship, motivation, and actionable insights.
