Bulandshahr violence: Yogesh Raj, main accused arrested

The main accused in the Bulandshahr violence Yogesh Raj, was arrested by police. The mob violence which occurred last month in which a police officer Subodh Kumar was killed.

The Violence reportedly happened when a mob attacked the police alleging inaction over complaints of cow slaughter. 

Yogesh Raj was arrested only after the leader of his Bajrang Dal handed him over.

Raj is accused of inciting mob violence in December after the discovery of cow carcasses from a forest.

The development came a month after the incident took place in Bulandshahr. The police were on the lookout for Raj, who was on the run for about a month.

Sumit Kumar, a civilian also lost his life during the violence.

The police had earlier arrested Kalua, who allegedly attacked inspector Subodh Kumar with an axe.

As per the reports, the police also reportedly recovered an axe from him.
