BJP youth wing leader and one of the main accused in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr violence, Shikhar Aggarwal, was arrested from Hapur in the early hours of Thursday.
Last week, a Bajrang Dal activist Yogesh Raj who was a key accused in the mob violence was also arrested. He was on the run for about a month.
Violence erupted in Bulandshahr on December 3 after cow carcasses were found strewn outside a village. The incident led to the deaths of Inspector Subodh Singh and civilian Sumit Kumar.
The police had earlier arrested Kalua, who is accused of attacking the inspector Subodh Kumar with an axe.
