RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday filed his nomination from the Hasanpur assembly seat in Samastipur district.
He was accompanied by his younger brother and the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s CM nominee Tejashwi Yadav.
Tej Pratap had won the Bihar elections from Mahua assembly constituency in Vaishali district in 2015, however, this time he is contesting from Hasanpur assembly. There was speculation that his estranged wife Aishwarya Rai may contest from Mahua seat.
The elections to elect 243-member Bihar assembly will take place in three phases. The first phase of elections will be held on October 28, the second phase of elections will be held on November 3 and the last phase of elections will be held on November 7.
