Bihar Deputy CM requests criminals not to commit crimes during ‘Pitru Paksh’

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister (CM) Sushil Modi has requested criminals to refrain from indulging in illegal activities during the period of ‘Pitru Paksha’. He urged them to shun violence during the 15 days of the festival.

While addressing an event at Gaya Deputy CM Modi said, “With folded hands, I want to appeal to all the criminals to refrain from indulging in criminal activities during the time of ‘Pitru Paksha’. During other days, you keep doing something or the other.”

Deputy CM added, “Do not indulge in any activity that tarnishes the image of Bihar, brings a bad name to the holy town of Gaya and gives the visitors a reason to complain.”

However, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, while taunting CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Modi on deteriorating law and order situation in the state said, “No need to be surprised even if the infamous pair falls at the feet of criminals….after all, criminals have more AK-47 rifles than the Bihar police.”

‘Pitru Paksha’ is a significant month of the Hindu calendar. During this time, Hindus pay homage to their ancestors, especially through food offerings.
