New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced two last-minute changes to India’s squads for the upcoming ODI series against England and the T20I series against Zimbabwe due to injuries.
Fast bowler Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against England after suffering an injury. The selection committee has named Prince Yadav as his replacement in the squad.
In another change, spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out of the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe due to a fitness issue. Ravi Bishnoi has been drafted into the squad as his replacement.
The ODI series against England is scheduled to begin on July 15, while the Zimbabwe tour will follow later this month. The changes come as India looks to maintain squad depth ahead of a busy international calendar.
The BCCI has not disclosed the expected recovery timeline for either Harshit Rana or Varun Chakravarthy but confirmed that both replacements have been informed and are set to join the respective squads.
