At least seven persons were killed and 21 others got injured on October 20 after a speeding Assam State Transport Corporation bus lost control and fell into a pond in Assam’s Nalbari District. Seven corpses, including three women, have been recovered from the accident site.
The injured persons have been admitted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital and the locals have been assisting the police and local administration in the rescue operation.
According to reports, there were around 50 passengers in the bus and the driver lost control of the vehicle on its way to Barpeta from Guwahati via Mukalmua at around 3.30 pm.
