Arvind Kejriwal to meet Amit Shah today

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who took oath for a third consecutive term will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday afternoon, sources said.

This will be the first meeting between the two leaders after the assembly poll in the national capital.

Arvind Kejriwal and his six ministers took oath on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan.

Kejriwal had invited PM Modi to his swearing-in ceremony.

PM Modi, who was in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Sunday, later congratulated the AAP supremo on Twitter.

“I congratulate Shri @ArvindKejriwal on taking oath as Delhi’s CM earlier today. Best wishes to him for a fruitful tenure,” PM Modi had tweeted.

Kejriwal in his reply thanked PM Modi for warm wishes.

“Thank you for the warm wishes sir. I wish you could come today, but I understand you were busy. We must now work together towards making Delhi a city of pride for all Indians,” Kejriwal wrote.

The AAP emerged victorious with a majority of 62 seats in 70-member Delhi Assembly while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won eight seats.
